Disease Information

Disease ID:DOID:4467D002292
Disease Name:clear cell renal cell carcinomaCarcinoma, Renal Cell
Category:Disease OntologyMeSH
Type:Neoplasms
Define:A renal cell carcinoma that has_material_basis_in cells that appear very pale or clear when examined under microscope.A heterogeneous group of sporadic or hereditary carcinoma derived from cells of the KIDNEYS. There are several subtypes including the clear cells, the papillary, the chromophobe, the collecting duct, the spindle cells (sarcomatoid), or mixed cell-type carcinoma.

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:30032137
Disease Name:Carcinoma, Renal Cell
Sample:ccRCC tissues
Dysfunction Pattern:Regulation[AKT/GSK-3β Signaling Pathway]
Validated Method:qRT-PCR//Western Blot
Description:We found that LUCAT1 was significantly upregulated in both clinical ccRCC tissues (n = 90) and TCGA ccRCC tissues (n = 448) compared with normal tissues. These findings indicate that the CXCL2/LUCAT1/AKT/GSK-3β axis is a potential therapeutic target and molecular biomarker for ccRCC.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description: LUCAT1 knockdown inhibited ccRCC cell proliferation and colony formation, induced cell cycle arrest at G1 phase, and inhibited cell migration and invasion. Overexpression of LUCAT1 promoted proliferation, migration, and invasion of ccRCC cells.
Clinical-realted Application:Statistical analysis revealed that the LUCAT1 expression level positively correlated with tumor T stage (P < 0.01), M stage (P < 0.01), and TNM stage (P < 0.01). Overall survival and disease-free survival time were significantly shorter in the high-LUCAT1-expression group than in the low-LUCAT1-expression group (log-rank P < 0.01).

[2] PubMed ID:34035851
Disease Name:Carcinoma, Renal Cell
Sample:ccRCC tissues and cells
Dysfunction Pattern:Interaction(microRNA-375/YAP1 axis)
Validated Method:Northern Blot//Western Blot//Transfection//Migration Assay//qRT-PCR//Luciferase Report Assay//Invasion Assay
Description:The results revealed that LUCAT1 and YAP1 were upregulated and miR-375 was downregulated in ccRCC tissues and cells. LUCAT1 knockdown suppressed cell proliferation, migration and invasion, which were reversed by the inhibition of miR-375.
Causality:Yes
