Disease Information

 Disease OntologyMeSH
Disease ID:DOID:684D006528
Disease Name:hepatocellular carcinomaCarcinoma, Hepatocellular
Category:Disease OntologyMeSH
Type:Neoplasms
Define:A liver carcinoma that has_material_basis_in undifferentiated hepatocytes and located_in the liver.A primary malignant neoplasm of epithelial liver cells. It ranges from a well-differentiated tumor with EPITHELIAL CELLS indistinguishable from normal HEPATOCYTES to a poorly differentiated neoplasm. The cells may be uniform or markedly pleomorphic, or form GIANT CELLS. Several classification schemes have been suggested.

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:34978464
Disease Name:Carcinoma, Hepatocellular
Sample:HCC cells and in clinical samples
Dysfunction Pattern:Interaction(miR-655-3p/SMAD )
Validated Method:Western Blot//CCK8//qRT-PCR//Cell Apoptosis Assay//Transwell Assay
Description: LINC01194 was overexpressed in HCC cells and in clinical samples. We also confirmed that miR-655-3p could bind to LINC01194, and miR-655-3p was downregulated in HCC. The upregulation of miR-655-3p suppressed HCC cell invasion and migration, and enhanced the number of apoptotic cells. SMAD5, which was overexpressed in HCC cell lines, was directly targeted by miR-655-3p.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description:ILINC01194 silencing suppressed proliferation and migration; however, it promoted apoptosis in HCC cell lines.
Clinical-realted Application:
