Disease Information

 Disease OntologyMeSH
Disease ID:D003928
Disease Name:Diabetic Nephropathies
Category:MeSH
Type:Urogenital Diseases
Define:KIDNEY injuries associated with diabetes mellitus and affecting KIDNEY GLOMERULUS; ARTERIOLES; KIDNEY TUBULES; and the interstitium. Clinical signs include persistent PROTEINURIA, from microalbuminuria progressing to ALBUMINURIA of greater than 300 mg/24 h, leading to reduced GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE and END-STAGE RENAL DISEASE.

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:31258644
Disease Name:Diabetic Nephropathies
Sample:diabetic nephropathy tissues
Dysfunction Pattern:Interaction[HIF1α]
Validated Method:qRT-PCR//ELISA//Western Blot
Description: The results revealed that LINK-A lncRNA and HIF1α were downregulated in patients with diabetic nephropathy, as well as in diabetic patients without complications. LINK-A lncRNA overexpression also promoted HIF1α expression in mouse podocyte cells, while HIF1α overexpression did not significantly affect LINK-A lncRNA expression.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description:LINK-A lncRNA and HIF1α overexpression inhibited the apoptosis of mouse podocyte cells under a high glucose treatment.
Clinical-realted Application:
