Disease Name:pancreatic cancerPancreatic Neoplasms
Category:Disease OntologyMeSH
Type:Neoplasms
Define:An endocrine gland cancer located_in the pancreas.Tumors or cancer of the PANCREAS. Depending on the types of ISLET CELLS present in the tumors, various hormones can be secreted: GLUCAGON from PANCREATIC ALPHA CELLS; INSULIN from PANCREATIC BETA CELLS; and SOMATOSTATIN from the SOMATOSTATIN-SECRETING CELLS. Most are malignant except the insulin-producing tumors (INSULINOMA).

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:29286182
Disease Name:Pancreatic Neoplasms
Sample:PC tissues and cells
Dysfunction Pattern:Interaction( EZH2 and LSD1)
Validated Method:In Vivo Experiment//Transfection//Invasion Assay//Migration Assay//Flow Cytometry//qRT-PCR//RIP//Microarray//Colony Formation Assay//Bioinformatics Analysis
Description:In this study, we found that DUXAP10 was overexpressed in PC tissues compared with normal tissues. Mechanistic studies revealed that DUXAP10 has a crucial role in G2/M arrest. We further showed that DUXAP10 regulated PC cell proliferation through interact with RNA-binding protein EZH2 and LSD1.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description:Bioinformatic analysis showed that cell cycle progression was increased in patients with high DUXAP10 expression. In vitro and in vivo assays of DUXAP10 alterations revealed a complex integrated phenotype affecting cell growth, apoptosis, migration, and invasion.
Clinical-realted Application:DUXAP10 expression was significantly higher in patients with an advanced TNM stage and positive lymph node metastasis.
