Reference

[1] PubMed ID:35556220
Disease Name:Urinary Bladder Neoplasms
Sample:bladder cancer tissues and cells
Dysfunction Pattern:Interaction(miR-3918/KIF20A Axis)
Validated Method:qRT-PCR//RIP
Description:ARAP1-AS1 and KIF20A were overexpressed in bladder cancer, while miR-3918 was underexpressed. miR-3918 was sponged by ARAP1-AS1, and targeted KIF20A. In addition, miR-3918 expression was inversely correlated with ARAP1-AS1 and KIF20a expression levels in bladder cancer tissues. In addition, the rescue experiment showed that interference with miR-3918 could reverse the effect of low ARAP1-AS1 or KIF20A expression on bladder cancer cell malignancy.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description: The downregulation of ARAP1-AS1 or KIF20A expression significantly inhibited the viability and proliferation of cancer cells and promoted apoptosis, whereas low expression of miR-3918 or high expression of ARAP1-AS1/KIF20A showed the opposite effect.

[2] PubMed ID:30404578
Disease Name:Urinary Bladder Neoplasms
Sample:BCa tissues,cell lines
Dysfunction Pattern:Regulation[miR-4735-3p/NOTCH2 axis]
Validated Method:Western Blot//qRT-PCR//RIP//MTT//Luciferase Report Assay//Transwell Assay
Description:LncRNA ARAP1-AS1 was chosen to be the object of this study due to it was significantly upregulated in the BCa samples of TCGA database. qRT-PCR further validated the dysregulation of ARAP1-AS1 in 88 pairs of BCa tissues and six BCa cells.Mechanically, ARAP1-AS1 was enriched in the cytoplasm of BCa cells, suggesting that ARAP1-AS1 might act as a ceRNA to regulate gene expression and biological processes in bladder cancer. It was certified that ARAP1-AS1 can bind with miR-4735-3p in BCa cells.
