Disease Information

 Disease OntologyMeSH
Disease ID:DOID:8778D003424
Disease Name:Crohn's diseaseCrohn Disease
Category:Disease OntologyMeSH
Type:Digestive System Diseases
Define:An intestinal disease that involves inflammation located_in intestine.A chronic transmural inflammation that may involve any part of the DIGESTIVE TRACT from MOUTH to ANUS, mostly found in the ILEUM, the CECUM, and the COLON. In Crohn disease, the inflammation, extending through the intestinal wall from the MUCOSA to the serosa, is characteristically asymmetric and segmental. Epithelioid GRANULOMAS may be seen in some patients.

Description: LINC01272 was highly expressed in patients with CD. Knockdown of LINC01272 inhibited TGF-β1-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Additionally, LINC01272 regulated TGF-β1-induced EMT through the miR-153-5p axis, and knockdown of LINC01272 inhibited EMT in CD mice in vivo.
Causality:Yes
