Disease ID:DOID:4467D002292
Disease Name:clear cell renal cell carcinomaCarcinoma, Renal Cell
Category:Disease OntologyMeSH
Type:Neoplasms
Define:A renal cell carcinoma that has_material_basis_in cells that appear very pale or clear when examined under microscope.A heterogeneous group of sporadic or hereditary carcinoma derived from cells of the KIDNEYS. There are several subtypes including the clear cells, the papillary, the chromophobe, the collecting duct, the spindle cells (sarcomatoid), or mixed cell-type carcinoma.

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:33472512
Disease Name:Carcinoma, Renal Cell
Sample:ccRCC samples and cells
Dysfunction Pattern:Interaction(miR-340-5p/FABP7 axis)
Validated Method:colony Formation Assay//RNA Pull-Down//TUNEL//Western Blot//Wound Healing Assay//Transfection//qPCR//Tunel//Colony Formation Assay//Flow Cytometry//RIP//PCR//IP//Transwell Assay//IF
Description:CircPUM1 was highly expressed in ccRCC samples and cells.CircPUM1 was localized in the cytoplasm and bound to miR-340-5p. Overexpression of miR-340-5p inhibited the growth of ccRCC cells. miR-340-5p targeted FABP7, and CircPUM1 induced FABP7 expression and the activation of MEK/ERK pathway through competitively binding to miR-340-5p. Overall, CircPUM1 upregulates FABP7 expression by competitively binding to miR-340-5p, and then activates the MEK/ERK pathway, thus promoting ccRCC progression.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description:Inhibition of CircPUM1 prevented the growth ccRCC cells.
