Disease Information

 Disease OntologyMeSH
Disease ID:DOID:684D006528
Disease Name:hepatocellular carcinomaCarcinoma, Hepatocellular
Category:Disease OntologyMeSH
Type:Neoplasms
Define:A liver carcinoma that has_material_basis_in undifferentiated hepatocytes and located_in the liver.A primary malignant neoplasm of epithelial liver cells. It ranges from a well-differentiated tumor with EPITHELIAL CELLS indistinguishable from normal HEPATOCYTES to a poorly differentiated neoplasm. The cells may be uniform or markedly pleomorphic, or form GIANT CELLS. Several classification schemes have been suggested.

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:32073896
Disease Name:Carcinoma, Hepatocellular
Sample:HCC tissues
Dysfunction Pattern:interaction[miR-539]
Validated Method:qRT-PCR//Luciferase Report Assay//Transwell Assay
Description:The authors showed that ZNF281 was upregulated and miR-539 was downregulated in HCC tissues and were negatively correlated. Therefore, ZNF281 may interact with miR-539 to promote HCC cell invasion and migration.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description:Overexpression analysis showed that ZNF281 and miR-539 overexpression led to the downregulation of each other. Transwell assays showed that ZNF281 overexpression led to enhanced and miR-539 overexpression led to suppressed HCC cell invasion and migration.
Clinical-realted Application:High levels of ZNF281 and low levels of miR-539 predicted the poor survival of HCC patients.
