Disease ID:DOID:255D006391
Disease Name:hemangiomaHemangioma
Category:Disease OntologyMeSH
Type:Neoplasms
Define:A cardiovascular organ benign neoplasm that has_material_basis_in endothelial cells that line blood vessels and is characterised by increased number of normal or abnormal vessels filled with blood.A vascular anomaly due to proliferation of BLOOD VESSELS that forms a tumor-like mass. The common types involve CAPILLARIES and VEINS. It can occur anywhere in the body but is most frequently noticed in the SKIN and SUBCUTANEOUS TISSUE. (from Stedman, 27th ed, 2000)

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:30928097
Disease Name:Hemangioma
Sample:HA tissues
Dysfunction Pattern:Interaction[miR-361-5p/VEGFA pathway]
Validated Method:Western Blot//CCK8//qRT-PCR//RIP//Luciferase Report Assay//Transwell Assay
Description: We found that compared with normal skin tissues, NEAT1 expression was elevated, whereas miR-361-5p decreased in HA tissues especially in proliferating phase HAs.NEAT1 functioned as a competing endogenous RNA to regulate VEGFA expression via sponging miR-361-5p. Taken together, these findings indicate that NEAT1 promotes the proliferation and migration, whereas inhibits the apoptosis of HemECs via regulating miR-361-5p/VEGFA axis.
Causality:Yes
Causal Description: Downregulation of NEAT1 significantly suppressed the viability, PCNA expression and migration, but increased apoptotic cell numbers and caspase-3 activity of HemECs.
Clinical-realted Application:
