Disease Information

 Disease OntologyMeSH
Disease ID:D013281
Disease Name:Stomatitis, Aphthous
Category:MeSH
Type:Stomatognathic Diseases
Define:A recurrent disease of the oral mucosa of unknown etiology. It is characterized by small white ulcerative lesions, single or multiple, round or oval. Two to eight crops of lesions occur per year, lasting for 7 to 14 days and then heal without scarring. (From Jablonski's Dictionary of Dentistry, 1992, p742)

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:34972503
Disease Name:Stomatitis, Aphthous
Sample:Plasma
Dysfunction Pattern:Expression(highly expressed)
Validated Method:qRT-PCR//ELISA
Description:Plasma NEAT1, IL-2, IL-1β, and TNF-α levels were the highest in the S-RAS group, followed in turn by NS-RAS and control groups. NEAT1 was positively and significantly correlated with IL-2, IL-1β, and TNF-α across S-RAS and NS-RAS samples, but not control samples. After treatment, plasma levels of NEAT1, IL-2, IL-1β, and TNF-α decreased significantly. Moreover, a higher recurrence rate was observed during the follow-up in patients with high plasma NEAT1 levels.
