Disease Information

 Disease OntologyMeSH
Disease ID:D003928
Disease Name:Diabetic Nephropathies
Category:MeSH
Type:Urogenital Diseases
Define:KIDNEY injuries associated with diabetes mellitus and affecting KIDNEY GLOMERULUS; ARTERIOLES; KIDNEY TUBULES; and the interstitium. Clinical signs include persistent PROTEINURIA, from microalbuminuria progressing to ALBUMINURIA of greater than 300 mg/24 h, leading to reduced GLOMERULAR FILTRATION RATE and END-STAGE RENAL DISEASE.

Reference

[1] PubMed ID:35422925
Disease Name:Diabetic Nephropathies
Sample:T2D group
Dysfunction Pattern:Regulation(MEK-5 and ERK2)
Validated Method:IF//qPCR//H&E Staining//Western Blot
Description:The relative expression of LncRNA KCNQ1OT1, MEK-5 and ERK2 in the control group was lower than that of the T2D group and DN group (P<0.05), and the relative expression of LncRNA KCNQ1OT1 in T2D group was lower than that of DN group (P<0.05). The expression of LncRNA KCNQ1OT1 was positively-correlated with MEK-5 and ERK2 (P<0.05). The relative expression of LncRNA KCNQ1OT1, MEK-5, and ERK2 in renal tissues of the DN group was higher than those in the control group and diabetes group (P<0.05).
